The K-Nine Alert to Peace Officers is a transmitting and receiving system for canine police officers and their companions. This system allows the dog, left alone in the confines of a police car, to alert his handler of a crime taking place when it is not seen by the officer. The transmitter installs in the car itself and the receiver is worn by the officer. The rectangular device features a frequency generator, amplifier, internal antenna, and the required electronic circuitry. It is activated by a switch on the front of the panel. The receiver part of the system consists of a tuned frequency, receiver circuit, rechargeable circuit and audible beeper, all enclosed in sturdy housing. A rest button, placed on the front panel of the receiver can deactivate the beeping sound if necessary.
